     During the year 2012 I had suffered from many disappointments which resulted  in an uphill of many emotional battles. During this period I decided to reflect, rebirth and commit (rededicate) myself into my first passion that I had long forgotten…the arts.  A dear friend advised me to use some of that energy on paper and create.  I must admit, it took some time to motivate myself, as I purposely continued doing other  assignments as a way to distract myself.  

   One night I was having such restless sleep, and I couldn’t settle my spirit.  Rather than fighting with it, I decided to listen to my voice and began to meditate.  As I was praying, a gentle voice spoke to my heart saying, “I made you beautiful.  No matter what you are going through or what people tell you, know that you will be okay and I have you; you are my creation." God always gives me confirmation of His undying love for me and how much He has favor over my circumstances. I cannot explain it; but the words, “I made you beautiful”, stayed with me. The next day I shared this experience with a friend who encouraged me to put it to use; maybe create an art piece around it. So, I did just that!  

    The  silhouette represents a woman of class, style, and confidence; something ALL woman of every nationality could relate. Once the image and the ‘God Made Me Beautiful’ emerged, I thought of another idea.  Shirts! This would be a great gift for friends during the holidays. I  wanted a T-shirt that could be worn casually or dressy without the hassle of maintenance.  Something with which, added with some bling,  bling accessories, you could just throw on and go. To my surprise, the feedback was amazing. Shortly after, through word of mouth, the orderings started coming in.

    All  rhinestone shirts are beaded by hand with a unique pattern design. No two beaded designs are alike, which is unique in itself. The message behind the concept of this shirt is that, not only should we all believe we are beautiful, but also, we are all  uniquely created by God.  No matter what your flaws may be, you are beautiful in His eyes and you have a purpose. God Made Me Apparel would  like to give an extended thank you to all the businesses and individuals that have supported the business. 

      As I continue to pursue my passion for the arts and create based on the messages placed on my heart to  share, please continue to keep me in your prayers.
